Sweep Suspects Appear in Court

Several Zanesville residents taken into custody during an arrest warrant sweep earlier this month by the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office appeared in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court Wednesday.

32-year-old Jeremy Johnson-Fowler pled not guilty to three counts of trafficking in cocaine, one of trafficking in marijuana, two counts of possession of marijuana and one count of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity. Judge Mark Fleegle continued his bond at $100,000.

28-year-old James Norris pled not-guilty to three counts of trafficking in crack cocaine and one count of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity. His bond was continued at $200,000.

28-year-old Adam Poulton pled not guilty to three counts of trafficking in cocaine. His bond was continued at $100,000.

And 30-year-old Lance Smith II pled not-guilty to trafficking in crack cocaine. Judge Fleegle continued his bond at $100,000.

All the men were arrested December 3rd in an arrest warrant round-up involving the Sheriff’s Office, the Central Ohio Drug Task Force, the DEA, Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation and Zanesville Police Department.
