Zane State College is bringing the community together by preparing delicious food.
Zane State College’s Ethnic Food Fair is returning for its 19th year this Friday. The fair is a part of the college’s celebration that honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Multicultural Outreach Coordinator Keisha Norris says food is the perfect way to bring people together.
"They have four different types of food that the culinary students prepare. This year, it’s Italian, Soul Food, Mexican and Thai. Tickets are 10 dollars and it’s a great community event," said Norris.
A tribute presentation will also take place at the food fair. Lunch will be served buffet style from four stations. Norris expresses the importance of diversity.
"In Southeastern Ohio, there is not a lot of exposure that goes on and because the more that you can learn about other people, the more you can learn about yourself," said Norris.
The Ethnic Food Fair takes place at 11:15 a.m. at the Campus Center in Zanesville. Tickets can be purchased by calling (740) 588-1226 or visiting the Business Office located in College Hall.
