Ohio officials say liquor sales hit a record 753.7 million dollars in 2010…19 million dollars higher than the previous year.

Winerak Beverage Manager Chad Lynn says liquor sales in Ohio right now are up 3 percent and in Muskingum County, they are up even higher coming in at 5.5 percent.

"I think a big credit to it is the new flavors of vodkas coming out, the new flavors of liqueur coming out, such as American Honey. You got the whipped cream flavored vodkas, the fruit flavored vodkas, pretty much any flavor you can possibly imagine," said Lynn.

Lynn says because of the new flavored vodkas, the bars are trying out new and different drink recipes which in turn will keep the liquor sales rising.

"We do have a couple new vodkas that are in stock that are actually made in Columbus, Ohio and they seem to be doing pretty well just because I think people want to shop locally," said Lynn.

Lynn says currently his top sellers include Grey Goose, American Honey, and Pinnacle Whipped Vodka.  Customers can also expect a cotton candy flavor vodka in the next upcoming months.
