Locals filled up their bellies this morning at an all you can eat pancake breakfast at Applebee’s.

All proceeds from this morning’s breakfast benefit the Zanesville Kiwanis Club.  Preside of the Kiwanis Club Bob Davidson says this benefit helps the club fundraise projects that will make a difference in someone’s life.

"One of our key focuses is on children and meeting some of their needs. With the special riders; the car seats. We also have had some projects in the past where we had diaper drives to help those mothers who need assistance with diapers," said Davidson.

Davidson says other projects include building wheelchair ramps and painting world maps on local school playgrounds.  Davidson says the Kiwanis Club’s goal is to dedicate themselves to serving their neighbors.

"It is a great opportunity to be able to serve the community and bring together some great talent that is within our community and pull it and join together to do some good things," said Davidson.

Although Davidson would not reveal the next upcoming event, he says they are currently working on it, and he guarantees it will be fun and involve the entire community.  Today’s pancake breakfast alone raised around 650 dollars.
