A teenager was taken to a Columbus hospital following an ATV crash around 7 p.m. Monday night off Ford Road.

According to Sgt. Pat Keck with the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office, a brother and sister were riding an ATV on private property when they hit a hole and were thrown from the vehicle. The 17-year-old boy was thrown into an electrical fence.

Keck says, the boy was taken by Newton Township first responders to Good Samaritan Hospital and then transferred by ambulance to Nationwide Children’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The 11-year-old girl was not injured. The crash remains under investigation.
