The Muskingum County Library System is boasting a good return on investment.
For every dollar coming into the library for 2010 through a levy and state funding, it returned $5.69 in services, resources, and programs.
"That’s one of the measurements we use to measure our efficiency and effectiveness in delivering library services in Muskingum County and being good stewards of the public’s investments in library services," said Public Relations Manager Blair Tom.
Tom said it’s important to form a partnership with the community and to also communicate.
"We made an agreement when the levy was passed a couple of years ago that we would continue to be responsive to the way that people wanted to use their libraries, what they wanted to use, and when it was most convenient," he said.
Last year, the library generated nearly 1.8 million dollars in total revenue with a local vendor impact of nearly $200,000.
