The call is going out for entrepreneurs who are looking to launch a new product or have an idea, but lack the tools needed to help get started. The Muskingum County Business Incubator may have the solution for you.

The organization is launching its second annual Big Idea contest. The contest is meant for entrepreneurs or business owners looking to get their foot in the door for marketing their products to their specific market.

"Really this is a contest to promote anyone that has a big idea, a new idea, something that’s innovative, creative, could be protected with a patent, maybe a copy right, or a trademark, but we’re really looking for things that full under that technology kind of umbrella, " said Jessica Sherman, Regional Director Muskingum County Business Incubator.

Judges from all over Southeast Ohio counties along with entrepreneurs from Muskingum County will determine first, second and third place winners.

"This way we have a mix of folks from throughout the region and they’re also successful. They can take a look at the registration forms and determine what they think is viable and what’s not. "

First place winners receive 2,500 dollars in cash and services. Second place winners receive 1,000 dollars in cash and services and third place winners receive 500 dollars in cash and services. The contest starts Valentine’s Day and runs through February 28th. To register, go to
