A special election will be held in Muskingum County on Tuesday, February 8th. Polls will be open from 6:30am – 7:30pm. The issue on the ballot is a 5-mill fire levy for the Frazeysburg Volunteer Fire Department.

"We have approximately 790 registered voters in the Village of Frazeysburg and I feel that maybe we will have a 15% turn out," said Elections Director, Chris Hamill.

If the issue does not pass, voters will see it on the ballot again.

"If the Village of Frazeysburg does not pass on February the 8th then they have submitted back to the board of elections the same proposal that been put on the ballot for a special election in May," said Hamill.

We will have the results Tuesday night at 11:00. The levy will generate around $73,000.
