A Zanesville man authorities say used an assault rifle to shoot into a Ridge Avenue home pleads guilty Wednesday in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court.

24-year-old Christopher Smith went before Judge Mark Fleegle and entered the plea.

He is charged with aggravated assault and tampering with evidence.

Authorities say on September 11th 2010, Smith shot into the home of Felippa Holbert at 2012 Ridge Avenue. Holbert says 19 bullet holes were discovered in his home and one bullet grazed a child.

Judge Fleegle continued Smith’s bond at $100,000  and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.
