The deadline to file your taxes is quickly approaching.

IRS Representative Jennifer Jenkins said E-Filing taxes is growing in popularity. Reports show that nearly 70% of the country uses it.

"It actually helps prevent a lot of the common errors that we see, math miscalculations and that sort of thing," said Jenkins.

She said some of the errors include incorrect social security numbers, addition and subtraction errors, and missing identification numbers for child care providers.

"Getting assistance from a tax professional, someone who’s current with tax law or using tax software those are some good ways to avoid those common errors," she said.

She notes that if you made under $58,000 in 2010, you can access some tax software for free from the IRS website.
