The United Way of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan counties is thanking those who help serve the community.

The Live United Celebration dinner was held at the EagleSticks Golf Club Tuesday night. The event recognizes locals for their services and financial contributions to the organization.

"All of these resources pull together make an tremendous impact in our community and it’s important that we stop take a breath and celebrate and that’s what we’re doing," said Executive Director Meg Deedrick.

Deedrick said they are celebrating the end of their campaign which began last September. It is their largest source of revenue. She said if there is no money, there is no mission.

"Our mission is to mobilize the caring power of communities, to create lasting partnerships that change community conditions and that change people’s lives and that’s what we do," she said.

Through the campaign, they were able to raise over $900,000. The funds will be used locally.
