The Muskingum County Emergency Management Agency tested its tornado siren system Wednesday. Executive Director Bo Keck says of the 40 sirens only one did not work. It is located in South Zanesville and suffered an internal problem which was repaired today. Keck says two of the sirens were new – one on East King Street in South Zanesville and another on the East Pike near Sunrise Bowl. He says new sirens performed better than expected and covered a larger area when they were tested this afternoon. Keck says from now until November Muskingum County tornado sirens will be tested ever Wednesday at noon – weather permitting.
