Phase three of renovating the old Maysville Junior High for the Muskingum County Business Incubator is inching closer and closer to completion.
Several electrical, plumbing and general contractors presented their bids to the commissioners Monday afternoon for the final phase of the building. Muskingum County Commissioner Brian Hill says the county plays a pivotal role in how the project is completed.
"The county owns the building so the building will be leased to the business incubator so its our building. We’re administering the grant. There was a grant received of about a million and a half dollars here last fall and this is the third phase of that," said Hill.
Hill says the grant the county received for the new incubator site was for energy efficiency to help save on costs.
"They are putting a new roof on it, new heating and air conditioning systems, this will be more of the interior work and the electrical and plumbing work inside the building," said Hill.
Hill says the final phase should be completed within the next three months. After that, the Business Incubator will then be able to make the move from its downtown location.
