The Zanesville Rotary Club is launching one of its biggest fundraisers of the year.

The 37th annual John Imlay Rose Sale kicked off Tuesday. The fundraiser benefits the Rotary Club which is a staple to community projects here in Zanesville.

"All the proceeds that come out of this sale are used for local rotary projects, for example, the new entrance signs for Zanesville are one of the projects for the noon club and probably one of the big ones for the day break club is the miracle league," said Tom Lear, Chairman Noon Rotary Club.

Roses come from Dover, Ohio and are shipped in from California, Arizona and even as far as South America. However, Lear says you better act quick.

"This will run through March 25th or while supplies last. The last week’s shipment we get, if we run out, that will be the end of it so it could be the 23rd, 24th, it just depends on how long the roses last," said Lear.

Roses are 18 dollars a dozen and can be purchased at Giacomos on Maple Avenue or Imlay’s Florist in downtown Zanesville.
