D-II District Final @ OU-East
It was close, and then it wasn’t. Zanesville had their struggles, but was able to put away the Indian Creek Redskins, 55-44 to earn yet another District title for the Blue and White. Zanesville was up just four points at halftime, but when the game got close, Zanesville was at their best: never allowing the Redskins to re-take the lead after an Indian Creek 5-0 start. Offensively, Zanesville may have logged their most efficient game of the year, scoring nearly one and half points every time they had the ball. This district title marks the 12th in Coach Scott Aronhalt’s 21 years. Zanesville will play in the regional semifinal next Thursday against either Bishop Watterson or Bishop Hartley.

D-IV District Semi-Final @ Meadowbrook H.S.
With the Bishops trailing Malvern 23-22 at the half, Rosecrans head coach Todd Rock asked his team, "Who’s going to step up?" Jake Phillis answered the call. The Bishops outscored the Hornets 37-21 in the second half led by the sophomore guard, who scored 11 of his season-high 23 points in the final two frames, en route to a 59-44 victory. Senior Brandon Harmon also cashed in a huge six points off the bench in replacement of Zak Kirkbride, who sat the better part of the game with foul trouble. Up next, the top-ranked Bishops have a date with destiny when they take on the second-ranked Hiland Hawks in the District Final in Byesville.
