Some Muskingum County residents will no longer have well water.
Opening bids were placed today for the South Moose Eye Road water line project.
"We had three bid openings here today and the estimated project cost was 160,000 dollars and we had bid openings today ranging from 158,000 up to 174,000," said Jerry Lavy, Muskingum County Commissioner.
The project has been in the works with the County Commissioners for approximately a year.
"It’s been ongoing. We’ve had some inquiries from the residents out there that would like to have water," said Lavy.
The commissioners will take the bids under advisement and award the bid after being reviewed by County Engineer Doug Davis. The water line project is expected to be completed before the end of the year.
