One popular sports bar and restaurant in Zanesville is on its way to having a new location. Buffalo Wild Wings officials went before the Zanesville planning commission Tuesday afternoon, to request a change in the land located across from Sears in the Colony Square Mall.
"The property they are interested in on Brandywine is currently three parcels, two of which are rather small." said Pat Denbow, zoning adminstrator. "To get the amount of land that they require, they had to combine parcels and create a new split to have a new, one and a half parcel of land."
Buffalo Wild Wings Franchisee, Bob Sparks, says the reason for the move is to better serve and benefit the customers. The new building will be complete with new furniture, flat screen TVs, and a larger outdoor patio.
"We’ve been here for ten years now, and I hear people say ‘well I haven’t been in your location because it’s so small’. Because we only have a 50 ft entrance now, people don’t realize how big we are until you get in there." said Sparks.
The planning commission unanimously voted in approval to re-zone the land. Sparks says they are hoping to have a groundbreaking ceremony by the end of next week, and complete the new Buffalo Wild Wings building by the end of October.
