It’s National Library Week and the Muskingum County Library system is launching a new updated online catalog system.

John Mcintire Library’s Blair Tom says the new program combines the typical online catalog with more web based features that allow you to not only search for specific books, but also genres as well.

"Mysteries, romance, science fiction, you can view New York Times Bestsellers, you can select to only look at the new titles. In general, all the new additions to the library or specifically dvds, mysteries, whatever your searching for allows you to manage your own account," said Tom.

Tom also says the new program allows you to manage your own account with the library system online.

"So you can see what you have checked out, when it’s due, the status of your holds, you can personalize your library experience by tagging items with tags that you’ll recognize," said Tom.
