Managing your finances can often times be a daunting task, let alone the tough economic times we’re in, but what if you could learn more about managing your money, without costing you any?

The United Way of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan Counties along with the Muskingum County Library system has the answer for you. They will be providing three free one-hour workshops April 5th, 6th and 7th at the library in downtown Zanesville. United Way’s Amy Davis says it’s a way for those who want to learn more about managing their finances. Tuesday’s "6 Tips in 60 Minutes" seminar will focus on where to put your money.

"We’re going to talk about investment and retirement tips, things if you’re looking at retirement, looking at investing, here are some things now you can do to take care of that," said Davis.

Wednesday, April 6th’s workshop will focus on managing debt and what it means for you.

"If you’re sitting in debt right now or maybe you have a college student who is going to be graduating soon and how you avoid the debt trap, but basically how you get out of debt and how does your credit score affect getting loans and stuff like that," said Davis.

Thursday, April 7th’s program will be on home ownership. The United Way encourages pre-registering for the seminars which begin at 6 p.m. each evening. To register, you can call the United Way at 740-454-6872
