Muskingum University is proud to showcase one of its newest facilities.
Through the Otto and Fran Walter Foundation a hall was built in their name on the University’s east campus. It opened this January and has more than doubled the music department’s previous space.
"We’ve been able to feature this beautiful facility in our recruiting efforts, in our programmatic development as well as just enjoying our current students having a beautiful place to practice and rehearse," said Chair of the Department of Music Joyce Alesandrini.
Walter Hall features two recital halls, acoustically designed classrooms, studios, a music library along with other features that Alesandrini said makes it alluring for any music student.
"They love coming here first thing in the morning," explained the Chair. "They love to stay here to practice and rehearse and to participate in all the activities that come with studying music here at Muskingum."
The world languages department and center for advancement of learning area also located in the building. A dedication ceremony will take place on Friday April 15th at 3p.m.
