Authorities are investigating a third robbery at a Zanesville gas station this week.

According to Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz, the Speedway Gas Station at 3170 Maple Avenue was robbed around 11 p.m.  Wednesday night.

The suspect is described as a white male, 6-feet-tall, with a hooded sweatshirt and ball cap. He showed no weapon and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

This robbery is similar to two robberies the Zanesville Police Department is investigating from earlier in the week. On Monday night the Speedway Gas Station on Blue Avenue was robbed, a few hours later Moto Mart on Maple Avenue was also targeted. Authorities believe the same man robbed both stations. The suspect in those robberies is also described as a 6-foot-tall, white male, wearing a hooded sweatshirt and ball cap.

Sheriff Lutz says they are working with the Zanesville Police Department to determine if Wednesday night’s robbery is connected to the robberies earlier in the week.
