More than 350 Genesis employees were recognized Thursday night for the work they do to save lives.

An annual reward and recognition event was held at North Terrace Church of Christ for those who have achieved milestones with Genesis. Genesis President and CEO, Matthew Perry, says without such dedicated workers Genesis would not exist.

"These people go through great, great lengths to make sure people are comforted for, and cared for in some of their most difficult hours and some of their best hours. It’s really great to be able to give something back to them, and say thank you for what they do for all of us." said Perry.

He says that the work Genesis employees do to save lives is truly amazing.

"Genesis is not the buildings, it’s not the fancy equipment, it’s the people and we’ve got great people coming from a great community and it’s about friends and neighbors taking care of friends and neighbors." he said.

Ten people were recognized for thirty-five years of service, and twelve people were recognized for forty years of service. Perry says many of those employees have worked in various places within the organization.
