Governor John Kasich made a stop in Zanesville Thursday.

Kasich toured the Plaskolite facility in the Airport Industrial Park, which is the world’s largest manufacturer of acrylic sheet. He says the newly upgraded facility is an excellent example of southeast Ohio excelling in job creation.

"This is what we need more of in Ohio. More investment inside of our state that can allow us to compete not just in the country but all over the world," said Kasich.

Kasich says the promotion of industries and a core infrastructure is something that is vital to maintaining a stable economy, and Plaskolite, he says, is a perfect example of that.

"I don’t think there has been enough attention paid to focusing on the skills of people, the common sense, the god fearing nature and the fact that they will work long and hard for a good day’s pay," said Kasich.

Business leaders from all over southeast Ohio attended Thursday’s visit by the governor.
