Jobless Rate Drops In Southeastern Ohio

The jobless rate is dropping in southeastern Ohio. The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services released the latest numbers for April this week. Here in Muskingum County unemployment went from 12.7% in March to 11.6% in April. In Perry County the rate dropped from 12% to 10.9%. In Morgan County the jobless rate in March was 13.9% and in April it was 12.2%. In Coshocton County the unemployment rate went from 11% to 10.6%. In Licking County the rate went from 11% in March to 10.6% in April. Ohio’s unemployment rate was 8.6% down from 8.9% the month before.
