Two people were arrested in Perry County Friday with chemicals to manufacture methamphetamine.

According to Sgt. Kevin Starrett with the Perry County Sheriff’s Office, the Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force and the New Lexington Police Department found the items after a search of 1-21 Porcelin Street Apartment B in New Lexington.

Starrett says an adult man and woman were found inside the home with the chemicals, but their names are not being released pending formal charges.

The New Lexington Police Department had received a tip about the activity at the home.
