by Carolyn Fleegle on May 20, 2011

Troopers with the Cambridge Post of the State Highway Patrol will be on the lookout for impaired drivers Friday night.

Patrol Commander Lt. Nakia Hendrix says an OVI check point will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on State Route 821 in Olive Township in Noble County.

He says the checkpoint which is funded by federal grants is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers.

Lt. Hendrix says the checkpoint will also be held in conjunction with nearby saturation patrols to aggressively combat alcohol related injury and fatal crashes.
