The local scouts are headed to summer camp and they need your help.

Pepsi Cola Bottling Company of Zanesville and local businesses are teaming up to help scouts pay their way to summer camp.  Pepsi is donating Pepsi products and the use of Pepsi trailers which will be stationed throughout town this weekend.  Muskingum Valley Council Executive Director of the Boy Scouts, Ed Mulholland, says summer camp can benefit the scouts in more way than one.

"These are great kids that are going to have an adventure of a lifetime out of camp. Scouting is all about character and fitness and citizenship and spending the week in the outdoors. Challenging them with new activities and leadership opportunities is going to make them better citizens for Zanesville," said Mulholland.

Scouts will hand out Pepsi products and hot dogs to anyone making a donation.  All of the donations will be used by scouts to help pay for summer camp. Division Manager of Zanesville Pepsi Cola, Rick Stone, says Pepsi is more than happy to help.

"There’s nothing better than supporting the youth of the country and boy scouts are a big part of that. We are just happy to be on board and not only like to thank Ed but all of the other troop leaders that spend all their time with the kids," said Stone.

Pepsi trailers will be open to the public on this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m at the following locations:
