One person is taken to the hospital after a truck crashes into a Zanesville restaurant on Monday.
Lieutenant Tony Coury with the Zanesville Police Department said a man was traveling westbound on Market Street and attempted to turn right onto Orchard Street; going too fast, he slid on the gravel and hit the Maria Adornetto’s Restaurant.
"The cooks were here, I don’t think they were open for business, but it doesn’t appear that there’s any inside structural damage at this time," said the Lieutenant.
The driver was taken to Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment. He will be ticketed for failure to yield. No one was injured inside the building. The accident remains under investigation.
