It’s been just a day since 42-year-old Loria  Chevalier was found dead in a Perry County ditch. Friday, the family spoke out about who she was and what she leaves behind as investigators continue to search for leads.

WHIZ sat down with Chevalier’s sister-in-law Stacy Buck earlier Friday and other family members. She says she’s known Lori for the past 18 years and says she was a great caring mother of five.

Buck never imagined something so devastating like this would ever happen to her and her family.

"Overall, she was great, she was a great human being. What happened to her is a tragedy," said Buck.

Workers with the Harrison Township Trustees Office discovered Chevalier’s body around 8a-m Thursday morning in a culvert near Ceramic Road in Crooksville.

Authorities have not released the cause of her death pending autopsy results. If you have any information about the case, you are being asked to call the Perry County Sheriff’s Office.
