Christ’s Table and Kellogg’s are teaming up for their 4th annual 5K run at the Kellogg’s plant. The run is a big part of Christ’s Table’ budget which helps to feed the hungry in Muskingum County.
"It’s a great day. There are door prizes for everybody gets a Kellogg t-shirt and there’s a bbq afterwards with a dj. It’s just a good time for everyone to come out and have a fun day with their family," said Keely Warden, Executive Director Christ’s Table.
This year’s event hopes to raise more than 4,000 dollars, which goes a long way in helping to feed the hungry.
"Four thousand dollars here at Christ’s Table will enable us to serve our dining room people which we do about 200-250 people a day in our dining room and then another 150 people with our homebound round. That will help us serve for over a month," said Warden.
The event will be held Saturday, July 2nd. To register and for more information, you can visit their web site at www.ohiochallengeseries.com
