‘First Friday’ in Zanesville will take a step back in time featuring a collection of old photos.
Mark Englehart is the 3rd generation owner of the Zanesville Camera Shop. His grandparents began the business 61 years ago. Today he and his wife own the shop and want to share a bit of Zanesville’s history.
"These pictures are all from years ago," said Englehart. "We even had street cars back then and we had the flood pictures, Big Musky would be a more recent one and the demolition of the Y Bridge."
Englehart said his favorite is from the 1913 Flood, and believes anyone interested in the history of Zanesville will be interested in these photos.
"We need to preserve our history," saidEnglehart.
The collection will be displayed downtown this Friday during the First Friday Art-Walk. Copies of the originals will be available for purchase.
