A lightning strike is being blamed for a massive barn fire in Guernsey County Tuesday afternoon.
It happened just before 1 p.m. near U.S. 22 and State Route 800.
Antrim Volunteer Fire Chief Donald Warnock says his department along with three other nearby departments responded to the fire.
He says when crews arrived on the scene they realized that they could not get their tankers near where the barn was located.
So he says they had to just let the fire burn itself out.
Right now Chief Warnock says they are trying to determine who owned the barn which was used for storage.
He says the structure is considered a total loss.
