The search and investigation continues for missing 2-year-old Anthony Tullius, who is believed to have drowned in the Muskingum River last Saturday.
Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz says these cases are not easy since so much goes into not only the search, but the investigation as well.
"We have conferred with Mr. Haddox at the prosecutor’s office as far as continuing to update him on what we find in the ongoing investigation. We still have quite a bit to do with our detectives. The follow up process is very extensive," said Lutz.
Search efforts will most likely continue into Saturday and cannot give enough credit to the hard work of the volunteers.
"Our primary focus is to try and find that young boy. The fire departments have done a phenomenal job going up until dark basically being in a dangerous situation with the high water and the fast flowing currents," said Lutz.
Lutz says the investigation could still take a few more weeks.
