Students across southeast Ohio and beyond put their athletic skills to the test Thursday afternoon.
The third annual Team Godspeed Track and Field Camp was held at Zanesville High School. The event is designed to give students of what track and field is all about with a variety of fitness activities.
"It’s been amazing. It’s been a wonderful day. As you can see, they’re having fun and that’s the most important thing, just fun, family, and fitness," said Christine Williams, Event Coordinator.
Some came as far as West Virginia for Thursday’s event including Chris Cress who is a high school track and field coach.
"It’s a great opportunity for kids to come and see some quality coaches that are legendary status here in Ohio, get a chance to meet with them, and get some new expertise, see some new things, and hone their skills to improve themselves with the track athletes," said Cress.
The two day camp runs Thursday and Friday and a final track meet will be held Saturday starting at 10 am.
