It’s time to hit the links in support of the Pink Ribbon.

The 31st Annual Pink Ribbon Cancer Society Golf Tournament will tee-off on Monday the 24th. The goal is to raise money for Breast Cancer research. Chair, Martha Purkey, said, the fundraiser is designed with the community in mind.

"Virtually, every dime that is raised in this golf tournament stays, right here, in Muskingum county," said Purkey. "To provide services for people who are undergoing cancer treatment."

The day includes breakfast, lunch, and prizes. Purkey said, this will be the first year cancer survivors are invited and will be recognized.

Pink Ribbon Committee Member, Chelsea Edwards, said, "I think it’s great to have cancer survivors there because it really gives us all that feel good feeling, that his is why we’re here."

Last year about $25,000 was raised. If you would like to take part call Martha Purkey at 740-450-4548

Teams can sign-up until tee-off.
