Newcomerstown welcomed former New York Yankee "Bullet" Bob Turley to their annual Cy Young Days Festival on Saturday.  Turley, an Illinois native, played 13 years in the majors.  His most impressive season came in 1958.

Apart from winning just the third-ever Cy Young award with a 21-7 regular season record, Turley also made a name in the postseason with the Yankees.

Down 3 games to 1 in the 1958 World Series, Turley tossed a shutout in game 5 against the Milwaukee Braves; picked up a save in game six after working the 10th inning; and threw 6 2/3 innings of relief, giving up only 2 hits en route to a series clinching victory.

WHIZ caught up with Turley at the Cy Young Days Festival Luncheon.  Click the video link on the left to watch the entire interview.
