Troy Balderson has been appointed State Senator for the 20th District.
Balderson was appointed to the open seat of Jimmy Stewart who resigned in June. Balderson’s term officially begins tomorrow at 1:30 after the Republican Caucus takes an official vote. He will be sworn-in before members of the Ohio Senate on the floor of the Senate Chamber.
The 20th District serves Muskingum, Morgan, Noble, Guernsey, Coshocton, Athens, Meigs and Monroe counties.
Balderson says he is honored and ready to begin his new position. He says he will be appearing at the Adamsville Homecoming tomorrow night to talk to constituents.
The Speaker of the House will soon announce a steering committee to find a replacement for Balderson’s 94th District State Representative seat.
