A Quaker City man – who is already in prison – and is facing multiple charges from two separate incidents in Muskingum County has decided to make a deal and plead guilty to all but the most serious charge. 25-year-old Michael Burkhart is charged in a 2010 crime spree that started here and ended in Pennsylvania. In that case he pleaded guilty to kidnapping, aggravated robbery and theft from an incident that happened at the Six County Crisis Hotline Center on Dillon Acres Road. Prosecutor Mike Haddox says while Burkhart was in the Muskingum County Jail awaiting trail he stabbed another inmate with a metal shank. In that case he pleaded guilty to felonious assault and tampering with evidence – a charge of attempted murder will be dropped at sentencing. Judge Kelly Cottrill has ordered a pre-sentence investigation in the case.
