A Frazeysburg woman charged in connection with the theft of over $18,000 from the State of Ohio’s American Legion Auxiliary makes a plea in court Wednesday. 32-year-old Rachel Lynn Roberts pled guilty to a Prosecutor’s Bill of Information on one count of grand theft. Detective Sergeant Ric Roush says the case involved the theft of $18,245 dollars from the State of Ohio’s American Legion Auxiliary located at 1100 Brandywine Boulevard in Zanesville. The theft occurred from December of 2009 to February of 2011 while Roberts was employed as the Auxiliary’s bookkeeper. Roush say the theft involved writing and cashing of unauthorized checks from the Auxiliary’s checking account.
