A Zanesville man pleads guilty in connection with shooting his step-sister in the head.

44-year-old David Gibbs appeared in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court Monday and pled guilty to felonious assault. In return a charge of attempted murder will be dropped at sentencing.

On April 27th, Gibbs shot his step-sister Tonya McDonald in the head at a home at 3900 Hemmers Lane in Wayne Township.
