Two local residents are seeking a spot in the State House of Representatives.

Larry Good and Jeanette Moll are seeking an appointment to fill the sixteen month term as Representative of the 94th district left by now Senator Troy Balderson. Good has worked on the Governing Board of the Muskingum Valley Education Service Center for more than 30 years and said without education business will not come to Southeastern Ohio.

"I do enjoy the educational impact it can have on jobs because you have to the manufacture know the training you provide and they can draw from the pool of people," said Larry Good.

Moll works as an attorney in Zanesville and has experience working in government at a legislative analyst in Washington DC. She’s also worked with Representative Grossman on laws for family and children. It’s an area she’ll continue if appointed.

"My number one priority is women, children and family issues. I agree that education is an issue but I think the overriding issue at this point is jobs and the economy," said Moll. "Even when you’re looking at family issues you have to have economic stability in order for families to provide for their children."

Also seeking a spot as a representative is current Muskingum County Commissioner Brian Hill. The State House said there is no time line for filling the positions but will meet next week to talk about the appointment.
