About 200 artists and musicians are getting ready to showcase their talents in front of a big crowd.

The third annual Y-Bridge Arts Festival is a growing tradition in Muskingum County.  Zanesville Downtown Association Manager Dana Matz said the committee reached out to the Franklin and Athens counties to create a buzz.

"The importance of it is that Zanesville and Muskingum County have a great art history with our glass houses, our potteries and the various artists that are from this area," said Matz.

Matz said there is something for everyone at the festival.  Visitors can purchase art from painters, sculptors and even welders.  There will also be activities for kids and musical performances on both days.

"My favorite part of the event is watching people’s faces as they walk on the y-bridge," said Matz.  "We take the bridge for granted, but for a lot of people, it’s the first time that they have a chance to step on the bridge."

The festival will take place Friday, August 5th from 6 to 9 PM and Saturday, August 6th from 10 AM to 9 PM.
