The Zanesville Police Department is investigating a Thursday night incident involving a two-year-old child diagnosed with cocaine its system. Detective Sergeant Ric Roush says just before 7:30 pm Police and Fire Fighters were called a house in the 800 block of Race Street concerning an unresponsive child. Roush says emergency personnel found the child in distress and the boy was taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus. Roush says late Friday the child’s condition had improved and is now not thought to be life threatening. The case remains under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time.
