Alumni of the Zanesville High School Dance Team chasse their way back in time.

More than 200 ‘Devilettes’ from throughout the country gathered to rehearse for their upcoming reunion performance. The founder of the ‘Devilettes’ Wayne Carpenter began the dance team back in 1966. And said the reunions truly are a time to reminisce.

"The girls all commented about, the neat thing about our reunion from different class reunions, they get to see all the gals they hung out with in school and not just the class they graduated with," said Carpenter.

The ladies range from original ‘Devilettes’- class of 1969- up to last years graduating class of 2010. Captain of the 1971 ‘Devilettes’ Marjorie Bucci said they may forget some of the old steps but believes it’ll still be a great performance.

"Everybody’s doing a really good job," laughed Bucci. "I think it’ll look good. There’s going to be over 200 old ladies out on the field."

The Alumni Devilettes will perform at the September 9th Zanesville High School football game.
