After more than twenty years of service on the north end of Zanesville, Muskingum Behavioral Health is moving.
Executive Director Steve Carrel says they haven’t outgrown their current facility but want their staff to all be in one building and also want a more central location to meet their clients needs.
"We’re going to have the same amount of space, used much better plus the big bonus is it’s closer to our clients. About 60 to 65 percent of our clients are south of the interstate," said Carrel.
The new location will be at 601 Underwood Street and despite the move, clients can still expect the same amount of care, if not more.
"We’re going to work on less time in the lobby. The lobby is much smaller so it’s less time in the lobby and more time with the counselors,"said Carrel.
Muskingum Behavior Health will be closed September 9th and the 12th for the move and will reopen at their new facility September 13th.
