A local church is gearing up to serve others.

As part of the 3rd Annual Serve Fest the South Zanesville Church of Nazarene will host their first -ever blood drive and food drive. Church Member Glee Patterson said the Food Drive couldn’t be easier…

"People just drive-in. They won’t even have to get out of their car," said Patterson. "They can give canned goods, non perishable items. "

All donated food will go toward local food banks. To kick off the Blood Drive Patterson said they will offer "a pint for a pint." If you give a pint of blood you will receive a home-made canned good. She said, it’s all just a part of being a Christian.

"We try to reach out and help others as other local churches in the area," said Patterson. "That’s what it’s all about- Christ- helping to get Christ out into the community."

The Food And Blood Drive will take place this Saturday from 8:00-2:00 at The South Zanesville Church of Nazarene.

Blood Donors are asked to call 740-453-1151 and schedule an appointment. Food Donations can be dropped off anytime.
