Grocery Shoppers had the special opportunity to get a behind the bun tour of one of only six Oscar Mayer Wienermobiles.

The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile celebrated 75 years of existence at the Riesbeck’s Pick’n Save in Downtown Zanesville. The 27 foot hot dog and team of ‘Hot Doggers’ are one of 6 that travel the country. Friday they teamed up with Pick n’ Save to raise money and awareness of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night walk held on September 22nd at the Ohio University Zanesville Campus.

Pick’n Save Assistant Store Manager Steve Fusner said, "It’s a growing concern in Muskingum County and we thought it need to be addressed."

With a goal of $500, Oscar Mayer Hot Dogger Kylie Hodges felt confident the goal would be met. She explained the Wienermobile does a different promotion each year- this one being part of their "Good Mood Mission." She said the Wienermobile always attracts a large crowd.

The Oscar Mayer Mobile is magical and that’s the point of it everybody from 5 years-old to 100 years-old reacts the same," explained Hodges. "It’s nostalgic and they get excited."
