Wood Pleads Not Guilty

by Nichole Hannahs on August 24, 2011

27-year-old Corey Wood of Zanesville appeared in front of Judge Kelly Cottrill in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court.

Wood pleaded not guilty to three counts, trafficking in cocaine with a juvenile specification, possession of marijuana and trafficking in counterfeit controlled substances.

His lawyer Kevin Van Horn had argued that he should be released on his own recognizance, but Judge Cottrill ruled that bond would be continued at $25,000.

Sheriff Lutz said that Wood was arrested during a drug investigation that resulted in a foot chase in the Putnam area in August of this year.
