Construction is underway at the new location for Buffalo Wild Wings in Zanesville.

The restaurant hosted a groundbreaking ceremony on Monday across the road from the Brandywine Boulevard entrance to the Colony Square Mall.  Franchisees Bob and Beth Sparks couldn’t wait to stick the shovels in the dirt.

"People are going to be able to enjoy big screen TVs outside on the patio," said Bob.  "There will be a new ambiance in the store with new projectors, and it’s just going to be tremendous.  We’ll have our own building.  It’ll be 30 feet in the air, and you’ll be able to see it from Maple Avenue."

Beth said they started planning for the project about 18 months ago.  She said they’re expecting to hire 50 new employees.

"We have a great staff," said Beth.  "Several have been here since the beginning.  It will be nice to have more people join the team."

The doors should be open by February, and customers will be able to take advantage of grand re-opening deals.
