State Representative Brian Hill was back in Zanesville on Monday.

Hill is serving on the Tax Structure Study Committee, which held its meeting at the Ohio University-Zanesville campus center.

"We decided back in July that we wanted to go around the state of Ohio and give our constituents an opportunity to talk about the Commercial Activity Tax, the Sales and Use Tax and tax expenditures," said Hill.

Hill said he joined the committee to familiarize himself with statewide tax issues.  He said these meetings reveal the impact of decisions made by elected officials.

"We will compile all of the information and decide what recommendations will be made to the legislature," said Hill.

The Tax Structure Study Committee will meet again on Thursday and prepare an executive summary for the legislature.
